Thinking about making a second round of coffee...  it's been a busy morning.  Project review with a new investor to kick off the day and the rest of the day is involved in sales activities and dealing with the company books.

We've some really REALLY cool stuff being finished at the moment, and it looks like I'll be back over to the UK in October to speak at a conference there.  That and some sales meetings will make for a fun end to the October period.

I'm still 50/50 on the Worldcon.  I might have a business trip to justify the flights, so it's then negotiating with the powers that be at home about a weekend away.  We'll see, I've a week or two to make that call.

It's a lovely morning and I need to have a Wifi repeater in the back of the house because the router is stuck in the wrong part of the house to work in the garden.

...  have walked the dogs to somewhere to do another hours work in peace and things are good with the world.

Is that on the whole it's not as dog friendly as the UK.  Pubs in particular are not places where you'll see a canine sitting at somebodies feet while they enjoy a mid-walk pint.   As somebody who has come to like furkids over actual kids I am now more comfortable that, on the whole, dogs are cleaner than children and, for the most part, not an impediment to a pleasant evening at the pub unlike a 3 year old WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE THERE!

Fortunately one of my locals is highly canine tolerant and I have been able to finish my afternoon's work, with a pile of productive shit, a couple of beers and a couple of contented dogs at my feet who have a nice big bowl of water just for them.

Now if only they'd relax some of the daft off-lease rules.
