Catching Up....
Jan. 17th, 2012 12:07 pmEr... sorry... tap, tap, is this thing on? Right... well, I've been a bit busy you see and this has taken second/third/fourth/n-th place you see.
Anyway. Returning from CES I've picked up some kind of low grade bug. It's not all that major, but seems to be linked to the quality of air, or lack there of in Las Vegas. Work has thrown a number of things at me - mostly around our accounts payable which is a royal pain in the arse frankly.
In addition to that we've got a bunch of projects to get out the door and proposals to send. All go here!
Sunday dawned sleety and we had a brunch planned with friends. It wasn't too far away and we sat for a few hours having an excellent meal and laughing at Seattle drivers in the snow until we realised that we'd have to drive home through them. That was pretty damn unpleasant frankly. People who can't drive in dry conditions are downright suicidal in even light snow.
We apparently have a "major snow event" scheduled for overnight and tomorrow, which could dump 2-12" of snow on us. It's currently hard to tell as the low pressure front is still approaching and very hard to predict. In preparation I've got in more kindling, in the event that the power goes, and food that can be eaten raw/over a fire. All very rustic.
