Note to Self: Cheap Laptop Batteries are a WASTE of money
Last year the battery on my laptop died - it was just out of warrenty so I had a look around the webs and bought a 12 cell replacement from Amazon... that's last less than 7 months, plus it DIDN'T actually fit and kept falling out.
So yesterday I bit the bullet and bought a proper HP 12-cell replacement.
It was almost twice as much as the cheap one but...
1) It fits and doesn't fall out
2) it came pre-charged and stressed - so no need for a 14 hour charging cycle
3) It appears to work
I suspect that the laptop won't last longer than the battery now...
