Gosh, hard to think of these...

1) Flown in a Concorde - JFK-LHR
2) Sold a Company with hours left before everybody was out of a job with no pay
3) Been in an emergency landing and an aborted take-off - not on the same day fortunately
4) Been taken for drinks at the American Club in Singapore just after having had Singapore Slings at Raffles
5) Asked Steve Balmer an awkward question and got a straight answer - this was before he spent $15M with us and didn't get what he wanted...
6) Driven the length of the Stuart Highway in Australia BEFORE they paved it...  there is nothing like a 1000km of dirt road to remind you want your bum is for
7) On a similar vein - thrown up on Ayers Rock (NB: I am proud of this, in my defense, I was very hung over, suffering from a cold and didn't realize just how damn steep a climb it was.)
8) Knocked myself out on a Milling Machine while conducting a safety survey of a workshop
9) Spent a summer re-building a recycled Toilet Tissue making machine
10) Spent a night in a brewery standing in for the control system to make sure they were able to turn Heineken into Water... or something like that...  it was -7C and I damn near froze to death...

It's Q1 and therefore it's wall-to-wall events for the average tech startup.

I'm in the middle of planning CES meetings, which is coming together nicely.  If you're in Las Vegas for CES and want to catch up - the best option is usually after 10pm in the Red Square Vodka Bar in the Mandalay Bay - and/or around midnight in the Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood.

Yes, it is that kind of event.  On the plus side, the pre-event meeting I'm at includes a Bare Naked Ladies Concert which will be sweet.

On the meetings side of things it looks like I've got 9+ meetings over 2 days which is going to be tight, and then it's a friend's Stag Do on the Friday and Saturday nights.  We'll have to see how that goes.

I'm in the process of getting my iPad ready for the experiment of taking it to Vegas rather than the laptop.  To be frank, the Laptop is a waste of space.  You never really use it, it's too damn heavy, and the battery runs out quickly.  I'm going to have a Wireless Access Point on me to make up for the lack of 3G and we'll see how that goes.  I've got an app for showing Presentations and images from the iPad too and a converter cable so I can plug into a display if necessary.  Fingers crossed that it makes sense, because the next one after that is MWC.
