Things to make me go Hmmm? FedEx and the weather

 I spent all day waiting for my new laptop battery until it flashed up at 6:40pm that the address was incorrect and it was recorded as a failed delivery.

Eh?  FedEx have delivered here many many times.

Of course, the nasty suspicious bastard inside me considers that there might be a corellation between the hottest day of the year and the driver "not finding" my address...

Still, first thing this morning I get a call on the landline (note: not the cell phone number I gave them) asking to check the address.

FedEx: Hi, we'd like th check this address 1234 Any Street E, Seattle?
Me: That's it
FedEx: Er.... it is?
Me: Yeap, and it had been the last half dozen times you've been here.
FedEx: Er... well, he's a new courier...
Me: He doesn't have a SatNav? GPS Unit? A PHONE????

Seriously, are you telling me FedEx doesn't have GPS Units in their vehicles?  What the fuck is this 2002?

Brown Dog in the Sun...

The puppy, ok the gangly, lanky 11 month old, is really suffering today.  I walked them both early before it started getting hot but she's now flopped down beside me looking extremely confused and sorry for herself.  I'm guessing that having a body designed for swimming off the Labrador coastline isn't working too well for highs in the 30s today.

I'll hose her down in a bit and give her more ice cubes which she loves. 

Older dog has adopted his standard position from last summer - a soft puddle of light brown fur lying on the wooden floors in the shade.
