If you buy things on line or use web travel sites I suggest keeping a close eye on your credit card and bank statements. I just caught two scam artists billing my account - TGL*BigFun and ReservationRewards.
The last one I missed for a couple of months because there's a legit AmEx service I use with a similar name.
Basically, these thieving bastard con-artists basically have done deals with travel and other online sites for the SITE to share your credit card details with them with nothing more than an email address - the email address itself is usually presented as part of the final buying process.
After that, they start billing small amounts to your credit card in the hope that you won't notice them. You don't get anything in exchange, but they share the revenue they make with the web service you originally used. NOR is this limited to shady web services - I picked up the last one booking parking at SeaTac.
I blame myself for not double checking properly, but they're pretty sneaky about the sign up process and it doesn't require you to put in or submit any payment details. So be careful out there, ok?
