At Worldcon
Aug. 7th, 2009 09:41 amCatching my breath.
The red-eye on Wednesday night basically crippled me for the day yesterday, so while I was able to function I did crash pretty badly during the parties and had to crawl to bed at about 11pm - which for me at a con is practically mid-afternoon. The upshot, of course, is the weird experience of waking up at Day 2 of a con without a hangover and having had 10 hours sleep. Most peculiar.
This meant I got to get to 2 items this morning - both good, if slightly derailed by the encounter with the audience.
Last night's Krugman - Stross encounter was pretty enjoyable, but I'll admit that I decided to cut my losses and leave before the natural end. (see above for effect of sleep deprivation).
Anyway, so far so good. Some excellent program items, some good parties. Now rinse repeat - hopefully with an added decent meal tonight!
