There's something about Dallas...
Feb. 2nd, 2009 08:15 pm It just annoys me and I can't put my finger on it.
It might be the conveniently located car rental terminal, conveniently located, it seems for another state entirely.
It might be the accent.
It might be the toll roads, conveniently set up so unless you have a toll payment gadget in your car, you constantly find that you have to pull off the freeway and pay.
It might be that paying involves giving a crisp $1 bill to a guy in a hut who throws 4 shiny quarters into the machine...
It might be all of those things.
I'm tired, miserable, and the bar we were in closed at 9pm. Apparently, there's no point in being open the Monday night after Superbowl.
Dinner conversation "highlight": Rugby? Now what is that exactly?
I may have to kick somebody.
