Rants and Raves

Virgin America - ok, so I'm not a huge fan of Virgin Atlantic. But I was amazed by Virgin US. I paid the upgrade to First (only $30) and had extraordinary comfort for a US domestic first seat - almost equivalent to a lot of long haul business class seats. It had massage features too. Plus, and this was pretty amazing, in air WiFi.
My new car. Me likey likey.
Rants:
Our heating. The boiler packed up last week. When the Puget Sound Energy guy had a look he capped off our gas main and "red tagged" the boiler. It's vintage 1910s and is a wood/coal furnace that was converted to Oil and then to natural gas. Yeah. Right. Anyway, to add extra complexity to removing a half tonne of cast iron - it's got an asbestos layer inside it and the pipe to and from are asbestos lagged. Yay. Apparently they can expedite the removal because we have no heat.
