Back from Mexico and a car to buy
Nov. 26th, 2008 02:51 pmSo the insurance adjuster concurred with my view of the damage to the car. "I'm afraid it's a total loss sir."
That came as something of a relief because I didn't want to drive that thing again no matter how much work they put into it.
Good news: the offer they've made for the car is pretty damn good. It's barely $2000 less than I paid for the car 18 months ago, which isn't bad. And after we pay off the car loan it'll leave us with a clear $9000 - which is the amount I put down on the car originally 18 months ago, which again, isn't bad.
Bad news: I have to get a car and quickly.
Some web surfing I see in my future.
Annoying news: very little of the work I left to be done, was done while I was away and I am vexed.
