I've been traveling.  An off-site internal sales event in Majorca.

Majorca?  I hear you ask.  Yes, indeed.  For EUR60 a night we got bed and full board plus wine with meals plus the conference facilities and donoughts and coffee in breaks.  Of course, from Seattle there are probably few places in the Western World that are harder to get to.  After flying overnight to London and traipsing around the M25 to Gatwick I had 5 hours there before my EasyJet flight to Palma.

Once in Palma I was a sensible boy and had an early night in preparation for the work that was to come.  It was a sales conference, lots of powerpoint, lots of presentations, I did 5 myself.  Then there was the drinking...

Ugh...

I think I went to Majorca with my parents years ago, although I'm not 100% sure of that.  Still, I didn't go to Magaluf even then.  I have been now.

It brought a tear to my eye.  For a start we screwed up the demographic.  The youngest of our party was 36, the oldest 46, that meant he was basically old enough to be the grandparent of some of the people out...  and certainly his 17 year old daughter would have fitted right in.

So we drank bad cheap booze, and then paid 25EUR to get into BCM (Beach Club Magaluf?) which included all drinks.  The clients were young, there was going to be a foam party at 3am, a wet t-shirt contest at 2.30...

On the way home we had kebabs.

I need say no more.
