So in addition to getting Tyson we also decided we had to learn something new this year. So we've started taking Golf Lessons. I'm the only one in my family who doesn't play, and it was actually getting a little embarasing at work related things not to be able to. Apparently they expect people who y age and doing what I do for a living to be able to join them for a round of golf.
So we had our first lesson on Sunday.
I'd tried to learn to hit balls at school but frankly it was a disaster and I hated it.
This time was slightly different. The Pro took a while to explain to me but part of my problem was I kept trying to hit the ball, when in fact the motion is more akin to a pendulum swing with the end of the club as a pendulum. Actually once that was explained I started hitting the balls.
Quite well on occasion.
There's a lot of other stuff to learn and my stance was horrible. Still, I can see myself getting into this. It's like a larger version of pool really.
After Golf we went for another walk around Green Lake in Seattle. Which is practically 3 miles. Next we'll start hiking ;)
