So we were in Winchester last night. We had a nice meal and found ourselves lacking a decent pub to go to, so we decided to head back to the hotel for a night cap. We had a post prandial beer or two and were thinking about bed when a couple of guys walked in.
One was rather drunk. We ignored him for a while. Then he came over and sat down and stared at us. He was rambling in a rather cut glass accent, but speaking utter bollocks. Then he grabed my arm to try and look at my watch. Obviously not liking my reaction he then turned his attention to one of my colleagues.
Basically he wanted a fight and he didn't care who got in his way.
The long and short of it was we didn't finally get to bed until 3pm, by this stage rather sober having had to wait for the Police to arrest him after he started to trash the hotel reception area.
Apparently he was a Lord of some kind.
Probably explains a lot.
Still, I hope he had time to reflect on his life choices when he woke up in the cells at Basingstoke nick this morning.
