Could somebody explain Ralph Nader to me?  Does he actually work for the Republican party?  Does he get something other than smug satisfaction from his actions?

I'm dead curious.

Ok...  feeling a lot more human now.  The snot monster appears to have mostly moved on, although it's cousin the lesser hacking cough is still a house guest.

The brain is feeling a lot better although miffed at not being up to going to the pub to watch the Rugby yesterday or the Spurs game today.  We can't have everything and I will be catching up via my itvn box today.

I may or may not go out to watch the Oscars.  M is currently curled up in bed doing a good impersonation of me a few days ago which isn't good.  Anyway, I have caught up on a lot of media.

Torchwood: Still ok - haven't seen a dud yet but I've not watched the most recent.
Sara Connor Chronicles: Actually a surprise, it appears to be getting better over time.  The last episode has lots and lots of interesting connotations behind it.
Eli Stone: Heh.  Fluff.
City of Vice: Quite enjoying this actually, I need to read up a bit more about the Bow Street Runners - I know a lot more about the Met and the first uniformed London force.
The Last Enemy: It was ok, but frankly, I am getting a little tired of this sort of thriller.  The problem with police asking everybody for ID is that a city the size of London grinds to a halt.  Plus I don't think 300 people killed is enough to cause that myself.
Mad Men: Starting to really enjoy this piece of 60s nostalga
Ashes to Ashes: I'm still not sure about this.  I think part of the problem is while I could relate to Sam Tyler's character in 1973 I remember 1981 a lot better and have no sympathy with Drake.  Hunt is amazing, and makes up for her.

I quite like watching the Oscar warm ups, but Setanta are showing the England v. France game at that time...  too hard to chose!

I've heard rumours that I'll enjoy the England France game, so I might just have to miss the start of the Oscars.

Inspired by a post I made to Libertango.

Has anybody else noticed that if we end up with the result we're expecting for the US election (Obama v. McCain) we're basically in a rerun of the last Season of The West Wing with Smits v. Alder?

John McCain as Secretary of State post election ;)

I'm a salesman.  I do this weird stuff that makes money for the company and, in what could be called a pretty direct f**king way, pays your salary and for you to support our IT infrastructure.

I'm a simple man really.  I just ask for a laptop which is moderately portable and works.  I also ask for working email that allows me to travel effectively.

I do a lot of email and for various reasons it is very helpful for me to have access to all the emails that I've pretty much ever sent in this job.  You probably don't believe me when I say that from time to time the ability to find an email from 2005 and refer to it and produce it has been of huge benefit to me and the company.

So, having a morning of Mailbox Size Errors which are blocking me from sending emails does not make me feel a warm and happy person.

It makes me the opposite of a warm and happy person.

It turns me into a frothing at the mouth red eyed monster.

Please just make my email work and stop bothering me.  A ONE SIZE FITS ALL IT policy does not fucking work.

Yours,

Salesman
