My laptop still hasn't arrived, apparently the door system and phones confused the FedEx guy.  Apparently we're down for a redelivery in the next 30 minutes.

In the meantime I've been solving one of my problems which is access to my main dave @ email account - I have a lot that still goes to this account and tend to miss it while I'm away.  However, I've now got it syncing up with Gmail which will solve that problem.

Easy to do too.

Now all I need to do is get my laptop and new phone and I can have more fun.

Well, not quite, but according to FedEx the mess that is the traffic around Key Arena means the driver is unable to get to me when they said they would.

Go figure.  The man has already made a big impression on me ;)

So, my new toys finally arrived.

Laptop: It's nice enough but its much larger and heavier than the Vaio plus it has the weirdest power socket I have ever seen.  So this means I'll not be able to travel with my trusty Kensington and my airline adaptor won't work.  I also think they're lying about 6 hours with the 9cell battery.

Outlook Exchange is proving a pain in the arse, although I'll freely admit that some of that is my doing.  I uploaded a bunch of archived mail and accidentally sent it up to the server, which is just dumb.  Currently it's trying to untangle itself.  Bum holes.  Sadly that might take all night.

Phone: Nice enough too.  A fraction larger than the old Blackjack, but that's more to do with the battery increase which was needed.  The didly little thing they had in the old one was shite.

Anyway, next problem is they've also changed all the adaptors so tomorrow I have to try and find another handsfree.  As I don't really get on with Bluetooth (who does) I'll have to work on finding another wired one.

Tis finally working.

One thing I have noticed.

I actually quite like Office 2007.  Yes, this came as something of a surprise to me too.

The integration between Outlook and OneNote is what I would describe as SWEET!

Anyway, I am trying to tidy the office AND do my budget update.
