So, into the last week...

Still huge amounts to do.  Lots of work stuff too - we've a major end of month deadline for concluding a serious negotiation to be annouced at 3GSM in Barcelona.  I've not been involved so far, due to some company politics and my visa issues.  That will change when I arrive because I need to take a hand.

We're also setting goals for this year but at the moment, neither my boss nor I are clear on what those actually are nor who is setting them.  I've done my piece and have been waiting for feedback for days.  I'm not awfully good at time management, so I tend to just work to get something 80% done and then pass it on to the next person for comment.  This assumes the other person actually is prepared to do some work too and not rely on you having done everything.

It works quite well in situations where nobody really knows what they are doing, like now.

On the move front we're a mess, but it is getting better.  We have to pack up the flat next week and decide which clothes are flying with us (and what other stuff) and which are going to the locker.  On Monday afternoon we have to inventory the locker for insurance purposes and also to check that everything in there is suitably packed.  It certainly wasn't when it got put in there and there's a few boxes that need to be re-openned and re-packed.

Next Monday everything needs to come together.  The shipping company are due in the morning, as are the cleaners.  Then we're due at LHR in the afternoon.

It also looks like my driving license will have to wait until Feb when I'm coming back through.
