So we've signed up for a place to live. It's a 2 story "town home" in Belltown, slightly odd lay out, with the bedrooms downstairs and the living room upstairs. The living room and deck sold it to us. The room is something like 18' by 15' with a huge deck overlooking the water on one side and the Space Needle on the other. When it stops the Bradburyesque rain we can have BBQs.
They must have been desparate as they have agreed to hold the place until our move date in January and throw in a free storage locker.
So we'll be doing some household goods shopping this week and leaving it there.
We'll probably rent furniture for 3 months and then get our own. We've got a reasonable budget for all this of around $10,000 - which should include a nice TV :)
The visa appointment is set for the US embassy on the 9th Jan (I may not have mentioned that my Visa was approved last week) and we're scheduled to fly on January 22nd.
The only downer is the best broadband speed I've seen here so far is 4MB, which is just sooooo 2003 ;)
