Went to see the nurse practioneer at the local surgery today for the results of the blood tests.

Generally all is good. No diabetes, no liver problems, kidney function 0.1% outside normal range which is nothing to worry about. Cholesterol...

Ok, well, given my diet recently and my trips to the US I'm actually reasonably happy, i.e. it's a lot better than I'd prepared myself for. It's still above the normal range at 5.4, on the plus side the LDF and HDF measures are both inside the normal bands, it's just the total that's high.

We've agreed I'll try to tackle it with diet and then re-test in 2 months.

Gosh

After weeks of feeling a little "puddle headed" as my Nan would say, for some reason I've been pretty "with it" today and have managed to do a metric sh1tload of work.

Weird how these things happen.

It might be 'cos I've finally booked the flights and we're good to go.

I'd just like the lawyers to sort out the visa issue and we're ok. Next stop, house hunting in Seattle.
