Cleaned out the fridge - I didn't prepare for a month away and that's a fact. The house is almost smelling normal again. Had the heating on for a while to get the chill out and I'm cooking a meal at home for the first time in 4 weeks.
Downloading a few thousand emails, starting a bunch of TV downloads - looks like we had a power cut the day I left and the Media Centre recorded nothing. Bugger. Never mind.
Came clean to M about the new TV and after a little grumbling she settled down to watch a HD rip of Weeds (only 960 lines) and concluded that the picture was amazing and it looked fantastic.
Only downside is I appear to have a cold coming on. I'll keep an eye on that, it will only be the second this year so I can't really grumble.
