Last weekend of the trip. I honestly really way thinking of hitting Foolscap, but after lounging yesterday for a while, I had an early night and watched an in-room movie. Then I had an early night and today, well, I've come down with a case of miserable bugger syndrome and anyway, I've prep work for the meeting tomorrow. I'll probably take a bit of a walk around the Lake this afternoon, as it is lovely weather here.

Part of my frustration comes from where I've ended up. Where I normally stay, in Queen Anne, is a pretty low end hotel, but the location more than makes up for its short comings. There are countless interesting bars and resturants nearby which make it resonable to walk out for a drink or food. This place is a much better hotel but at least a mile from anywhere.

Anyway, the CEO flies in around 5ish for our meetings tomorrow which are pretty intense. We've our first one at 9.30 with a Senior VP in Redmond, then a VP meeting and then merely a bunch of Group General Managers. The "project to end all projects" takes up the morning's agenda. What I have to work on now is the prep for the afternoon meetings.

Tuesday back on site then Wednesday on a plane back to NYC. Thursday night flying back from New York (if anybody with influence happens to be in Heathrow on Tuesday/Wednesday morning to do "anything", well we're on BA112 on Thursday 27 September. Back in the UK on Friday, then straight out to Bath for the weekend for a friend's wedding. Then home, finally, on Sunday.

Of course, then on Wednesday night we fly down to South Africa for a week for my father in laws 80th and the idiot Nephew's wedding.

The fly in the ointment of the return is to do with visa applications which we'll discuss in the next post.
