On the road...
Jun. 16th, 2006 04:04 pmBack in NYC after a long but comfortable flight from Seattle. Slept for most of it which made the 5 hours zip by. Took a taxi downtown and went shopping in order to cook some real food for M. The benefit of having an appartment over a hotel. Both of us were sick and tired of eating out.
Although she did work until 9pm, which beats yesterday's 11! GOt up early with her today and went for breakfast at the Stardust, a diner where "resting" broadway performers get to wait tables and sing. It wasn't as good as I had hoped.
Tonight she's said we can go to Mars 2112, an SF themed bar/restaurant. The website looks dead cool.
Today I'm mostly avoiding all the work I have to do. I might go and watch one of the football matches later and generally chill out. I need to work on strategy documents but it's a long slow slog. I also need to start planning the next few weeks of travel. I'm back in the US in July for a trip to Seattle and Texas, then I'll have a few weeks out while I apply for my US work visa - which should take about 3-4 weeks for an L visa. Then I will need to do another Round the World tour - certainly taking in the US (Seattle and Chicago), Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
So, what should a guy do with a day in Manhattan???
