Flew back yesterday, finally got an upgrade. They were asking for people to be bumped at the gate, but after a long conversation with M, we decided that we would rather see each other. So they slowly moved the Club class travellers into First and then moved a bunch of us into Club - my name was the last called out, about 10 minutes before we boarded. But it was an upper deck seat which is a bit like having a private jet.

Did far too much work on the flight though, in between watching The Jacket. Odd movie, bit like the Butterfly Effect but not quite as good. Finally slept for 3-4 hours, lulled by the 145mph tail wind. Top ground spped I noticed was about 692mph. Sadly, having arrived at Heathrow airspace a good 45 minutes early, we spend the next half hour circling South Essex.

Got home, went into the office - thus breaking one of my normal rules.

Just woke up, feeling utterly crap but I think I'll try and crawl to the gym and at least keep that effort going.

I've 2 weeks in Europe, then 10 days travelling around the US, then I may actually have a month at home. My Asia trip in August has been put back to late September.

Yay!
