Point to Remember...
Jun. 23rd, 2005 08:44 amWhen you do your first "real" work out in weeks, stretch properly. I got so carried away with being able to row 2000m after doing the other CV stuff, that I forgot to stretch properly in my cool down and now have to fly with what feels like a knife in my shoulder blades.
Been a tad disorganised this week leading me to leave my noise cancelling headphones and mini-travel-mouse at home. Bugger. I had decided to get new headphones and give my old ones to M, this just means I have to accelerate that schedule.
Off to Seattle this afternoon, first time in about 7 weeks, which is a record for this year. The length of time I've left it means that the next 5 working days are pretty damn full. I had managed to leave next Thursday free, but then the US office, with whom we are almost at war decided to apply for peace talks - and we're having a "reset and move forward" meeting in Seattle. Joy!
I'm taking gifts, in the form of a bunch of Dr Who episodes which we'll try to fit in on Sunday.
Currently planning a US tour for June which is looking tough - we have 5 days to do meetings in Seattle, San Jose, Austin, Texas, Boston and NYC. Ugh. My, how much do I love flying internally in the US?
Still, the business is good, broke the $1,000,000 sales mark this month which for professional services in a new account is relatively good. Now I need to build on it.
Right, see some of you in Seattle where I see that the weather is much much worse than the UK. Glad I packed all those summer clothes...
