A general life post...
Jun. 6th, 2005 11:07 amSent my text of to Live8 - as it happens I'd already planned to be in London that weekend as I'm flying back in from you_know_where on the Friday afternoon and thought I'd save M the trip back to Bath.
Saw a Bath Fringe show The Tina C Manifesto Tour, hard to describe - but if a 6 foot tall country singing transvestite trying to bring US culture to us poor Brits doesn't make you laugh then nothing will. The Lord's Prayer to "Stand by your Man" stuck in my mind - you could tell the Catholics and lapsed in the audience as we were crippled laughing while everybody else couldn't see why it was so funny. It was also good to hear Tina's favourite song "for the boys in Eye-Rack" - Suicide is Painless.
Then home to watch Doctor Who... Hmmmm.... bit of a mixed bag that one. Next week looks more like it.
Sunday was spent, as good Sunday's should be - lounging around watching TV and reading the papers. I also had a bath - well, it was worth it.
pmcray headed home on Sunday afternoon looking a tad jaded but, it was probably something he ate...
M and I are off to Antibes on Wednesday for 4 days, which we're loooking forward to. Plus M is working from home today so we get to spend the evening together at home - which is nice. I might even pop home for lunch.
Starting to plan the next batch of travel and that long long awaited day of a BA Gold Card crawls closer. Seattle trip in June, we're planning a sales tour of the corners of the USA for July and Asia-Pac for August.
Hmmm.... Tokyo, Seoul, Tai-pei and Singapore in August... hot and sticky...
