Moving News
May. 19th, 2005 12:01 pmI hate moving. I did it every 6 months once for 3 years and it got old. So given we haven't moved in over 3 years this is a bit of a wrench. Ok, I know it's only to next door, but that is not the point.
We actually got the keys at the weekend and I've already done the seriously hard bit which was the boxes of books (although there's still a couple left to move tonight) and I'm down to the furntiture and the "bits". The bits are the worst really. Stuff that you know you need but finding a sensible home for them is really hard. I'll have to really think about what we do with them.
There's also something sad about a house almost packed up. The bookshelves are empty, there are blank patches on the walls where our pictures used to be hung and there are odd piles of "bits" in various places needing boxing up.
It feels wrong.
