Various silliness...

I had problems with my scanner/printer last night.  Ended up removing the software and re-installing it.  Didn't work.  I suppose I should have check to see if the USB cable was plugged in before I did all that :/

Got involved in a bizzare Doctor Who discussion on LJ which has left me feeling a little bruised and uncomfortable, while certain accusations weren't made towards me, I am not very happy with the validity of ones that were made in what ought to have been a good natured Fannish bit of nonsense.  If we are taking our Fandom *that* seriously folks, it's time to get outside and look at the real world.

On that subject, there's a big glowing yellow thing in the sky today - it's frightening me.

Worldcon!!!

I've done the final bit of actual World Con personal organisation that was left. I've booked my flight!

I thought long and hard about it and I could have saved £20 by booking Easyjet but went for BA in the end because, (a) I'll earn airmiles and (b) at least they have lots of planes if things go wrong on the booking front.

I've decided to fly up lunch time Thursday and back at lunch on the Tuesday.

Looking forward to it already.
