Got upgraded on way back from Seattle, which was handy as Thursday night was the company Christmas do. It was at the same hell hole as the last 3, next year we are doing something else, that is for *damn* sure. Seattle was interesting. Managed to stop my colleague from killing anybody, had a stunning meal at Daniel's Broiler which included a Prime Rib. (I pointed out one to M in Waitrose today and it was actually smaller than the one they gave me!) Generally we probably are going to do a deal - it's not easy but we're getting ready to get visas for the engineers who are planning to spend 2005 in Seattle.
Went to the Fannish 2nd Tuesday and met many WAILJ and many who are not. It was great to catch up with people again and I expect to get there again.
M is still awaiting a contract, but she spoke to them on Friday and paperwork has been signed and HR are sending a contract in the post. Yay!
My house sale completes on Wednesday and I expect to be in Preston to collect a rather pleasantly large cheque.
Part from that, it is the week before Christmas and out in the West all will be stirring like a big blue arsed...
You get the point - I may have finished the Christmas shopping but I've a hell of a lot to do before Friday.
In a later post I'll look forward to 2005. The chances are that with M working in London, I'll be spending a lot more quality fannish time in town.
