House Sale Ping - Pong
Oct. 14th, 2004 05:05 amOr should that be flip-flop?
Anyway, the buyer has apparently said to the estate agent that he'll take the £1200 I've offered for the building work. Apparently, part of the chimney has collapsed in on itself. I was vaguely aware this had happened as the gas inspector had pointed out that I couldn't use the gas fires.
So this guy admitted to the Estate Agent that he was trying it on and just needs to confirm with his wife that the £1200 is ok. And we can move ahead with the contract exchange. Phew.
We're still on target to complete this month.
EDIT: We have a deal. I'll take the £1200 off and we can exchange contracts immediately (well, next week) - he's going to have the building work done which will take until the end of the month and on the day the work is finished, we complete. Phew!
