The Weekend That Was...

Saturday: Did some more gardening and finally got the garden ready for the summer. I ought to have a fannish event at the house, but I'll need to think about the timings. We have plants, clean patio furniture and a working BBQ, what more is requireed.

Saturday Evening: Had some friends around to watch the Eurovision Song Contest. Much was drunk, many rude comments made. I voted for the Ukraine, for reasons which will be apparent to anybody who watched them.

Sunday: BBQ Brunch in the Garden - very fun

The Glamour!!!!

As anybody who reads this knows I travel a fair amount, not flyingsauce amounts, but I get on planes on a pretty regular basis. When I was not a vast amount younger than I am now, I would have been excited. However, the true reality of business travel had not hit home. The reality is flying to Copenhagen to stay overnight in an airport hotel for a 7am meeting and then flying home.

People keep telling me how much fun Copenhagen is. I wish I knew :/
