Looking Forward...
Apr. 13th, 2004 01:07 pmI've not heard many good things about Eastercon yet, but I'm interested to see more discourse on that. I spent the weekend in frightingly unexpected Seattle sun with a day time high of 28C. Leaving that to spend 8 hours sealed in an aluminium tin next to a teething baby just wasn't my idea of a good time.
Alas no upgrades, although I can't complain about my seat in Premium Economy.
Dragged myself back into the office today at about 11, my body deeply deeply unhappy with its owner, not just for putting on 3kgs in Seattle, but also for not getting enough sleep. (Still, the steaks at Daniel's Broiler are amazing, as is the molten chocolate pudding... Mmmmmm...)
Saw a bunch of LJ'ers and assorted hangers on, on Saturday and had a good beer and a chat.
The business looks promising, still various low grade evil from The Beast's dev teams who perhaps don't know quite as much as they need to about radio, but c'est la vie.
This week in the UK in the office and off to the Far East for 9 days on what looks like being a nightmare.
For a start we're flying economy class (Premium Economy was far too expensive apparently) so that's LHR-Hong Kong on Tuesday, then changing planes to Seoul, then 3 days in Seoul, 2 days in Taipai and a night in Hong Kong. Getting back to the UK at 5am in the morning, or something like that.
Still, I've never been to Korea or Hong Kong, so I might find something interesting to do when we're not working. Although my Korean office have a reputation for working and playing far far too hard.
