Weekending...
Mar. 29th, 2004 10:09 amWe went away for out wedding aniversary - the first one, the RSA one where we did the religious thing.
Anyway, it was nice. Lots of nice food, lots of nice wine, lots of playful things, and so forth. The venue, Hotel de la Bere, was interesting too - a 15th century manor house, looked like Hogwarts from the inside, much character.
Plus M was happy to watch the Rugby. *sigh* How wonderful a weekend it was.
Recharged the batteries, and has got me ready to deal with the low grade evil here at work.
On a separate note, after a long long long break, I'm starting to write again. Interestingly, my output was most prolific last time I was under serious stress - probably not necessarily a good thing - but it was when I finished the first draft of what is now book 3 of "my trilogy", and wrote a complete TV script and other stuff. Thinking about entering a Sit Com into the BBC competition, finished another short story for Interzone to reject and finally attacking Book 1 of The Trilogy and getting beyond the first 15,000 words which is where I'm at the moment. If anybody is interested, I've just destroyed Munich.
Well, somebody had to.
