From Damn Sunny Seattle
Sep. 6th, 2003 01:16 amBugger me its hot here! Sunny, blue skies and a steady 28C or so. The locals are wandering around just like the Brits do when its sunny. At least here there's air-con.
Well, anyway, what a weird trip I am having. We were upgraded on the way out, which was nice, although for a certain persons benefit the Cabin Services Director told me that I'd already been bumped by the time he made the request. Which was nice. He made me do a survey where I was awfully nice about the crew and we all talked about Concorde and how nice it was. *sigh*
The business has been odd, but really I can't talk about it in public. In some quarters what I am trying to do would be considered particularly anti-social and unpleasant, no matter how much it will make me personally. The difficulty I am having is with having 3 meetings a day with what is, basically, the most arogant company in the world. To whit: "Product X doesn't work.", "We know.", "Don't you want to fix it?", "Umm... why?"

Tonight my brother in law is in town so its lots of drinking, the bar person in the Cheesecake Factory made some recommendations, so we might try them out. The Puck Cafe is a possibility for dinner.
