This is my last day in the office until September 10th.
I'm not sure I believe it myself. I have a lot to do today and have to work late, so I'm taking a quick break.
We had a good weekend, the gory details don't need to be got into but it was fun. Explaining to a South African (where they didn't get TV until 1976) who half the people on the Channel 4 top 100 TV personalities were, was interesting. Had lots of drink with friends on Sunday, played MS Freelancer a lot, which I am enjoying more than is good for me. But it is slowly getting much much harder.
From now on I am back on the road, missing M's last weeks of MBA project fever. I'm off to Sweden tomorrow for an Account Strategy meeting and a client meeting, back Friday night.
Monday morning its hi-ho hi-ho its off to Heathrow we go and again to Seattle. I've a premium economy ticket but I live in hope of an upgrade. With the Economy Plus stuff it seems straight forward plus economy is full so they tend to shuffle you around a bit. There follows a week of meetings in the Emerald City...
The schedule is quite punishing, currently I have 12 meetings planned and usually a bunch line up when we're out there. I'm also with my new boss whom I sort of maneuvred into the role, plus we've an Exec VP flying out from Sweden to support us for one day. All looking good for business though. But I have to stay over the weekend.
This isn't necessarily a problem although I will miss M terribly. My brother in law is in Seattle at the same time and we have planned much cavorting and drinking on Friday night and Saturday is the Seattle Vanguard meeting - I think - I expect to plan that as I go along.
I upset Victor Gonzalez last time by not appearing quite how he predicted. I might have to change that ;-)
