For Heaven's Sake!

I cannot believe this is serious, but apparently a couple of senators are trying to get a law into the US to make ANY file sharing a federal offence with punishment of up to 5 years and up to a $250,000 fine.

I have been known to file share from time to time, especially to find missed TV programmes or to get a specific old track that isn't otherwise available.

File sharing could be ended with a sensible commercial attitude towards the internet, not through prohibition!
