Home again, home again, jiggity jig...
Feb. 23rd, 2003 08:15 amWell, back from the sunny but not so warm south of France. Sadly, either I drank far too much or caught some kind of stomach bug as I've been laid up in bed since I got back feeling pretty 'orrible. Not nice for M who hasn't seen me for a week - but apart from being awake at this ungodly hour and feeling like I was kicked in the kidneys I feel much better today.
The trade show was a success. It looks like we managed to close the deal I wanted to, which, sadly, means that next weekend I set off for a day in Taiwan, then from Taiwan straight to Seattle to do something else before heading home.
I actually get to fly around the world - which oddly, given how much I now dislike flying, is something I'm quite looking forward to. Given the rather punishing schedule and the importance of the meetings, there is a fighting chance I get to fly business class - which will be a first for me.
Needless to say, 3GSM was typical of tech trade shows. Endless stands, women in too few clothing selling antenna solutions (?), parties on boats... apart from the subject, it was a little like a con.
